The DP ‘Formula Builder’ is a simple (& classic) way for practitioners to create, save and prescribe their principal formulas.

Formulas are built step-by-step by writing a herb name in the drop-down menu, where adding a letter automatically narrows the options available. Once chosen, the daily dose of the herb can be selected, and the process repeated until the formula is built.

Minimum doses for herbs are currently set on DP, because the site can prescribe daily doses, with up to three doses of a day’s herbs.

Once a formula has been created, we recommend you name and save it (it can also be added to the Favourite Formulas folder). From this point, it’s a simple process to edit, adapt and personalise it for patients in the future.

The price per gram and daily prices of herbs are shown during script writing, as is the daily sub-total, providing full clarity on script costs. Unavailable herbs cannot be added to scripts, and herbs can only be added once.

Third-party dispensaries may also charge daily fees for scripts, shipping, etc., and these fees are shown once a script is added to the Cart.
